So, our house is a mess. I loved my wedding! It was my favorite wedding. My friends were gorgeous. GORGEOUS. And fun. I felt pretty. The music, both at the ceremony and at the reception was fabulous. I love my friends and family. I want to have another party.<br /><br />I think the house will come together shortly. I want it to be like Bill's/our house (in the last month of his rent) was. Welcoming. An easy place to visit and an easy place to be when people feel like visiting. There was always good food and a comfortable place to sit. It was never an issue when a bunch of people wanted to stop by at the last minute. Somehow, it was never difficult to clean up after friends came over and made a mess. Somehow, meaning, Bill did a great job of organizing his house. I helped too, right Billy?

Big Giant Liquid Ball Hits Bill's Car

<lj:music>Behold the Lamb of God (Bill on the piano)</lj:music>

Bill wouldn't let me e-mail the head of NASA's liquid physics department. He said I should post it here instead. So we were driving along Old William Penn Highway at night when all of a sudden a reflective liquid sphere, a little less than twice as large as a baseball, came flying toward us and hit our windshield. Its motion was as if a kid threw a snowball at us from the road. But no one was there. Just a field of grass on either side of us. There were two cars about a mile behind us. It had some drops trailing it, but it was pretty much an in tact ball of liquid. We were going about 35 mph. When it hit, he had to slam on the breaks because the ball of liquid covered the windshield like a sudden torrential downpour, like a sheet of rain. We couldn't see. He put his wipers on and within a few seconds the liquid had evaporated and his windshield was squeaky clean. We smelled the faint scent of isopropyl alcohol. We stopped at a manual car wash. Again, the windshield was like a mirror, and the liquid had reached the sides of the car. Other than that, there were no traces of it. When it came toward us it didn't appear encased in anything. When it hit, it left no residue. From the best of my memory, it was just a giant ball of liquid that came from nowhere. Do you have any clue what that may have been?

Cardinal Update

My cardinals are finally eating. :) I don't think I was successful in scaring the squirrel away. He left on his own when he was full. It's possible my last attempt did it-I went outside and shook the tree a little. I decided three or four hours of snacking was enough. I feel a little bad, but I think he will be back. The couple takes turns--the wife looks out while the husband eats, and then they trade. It is very sweet.

Bird feeders

There is a squirrel eating all of the bird food. I favor the cardinals. They are sitting so patiently waiting for their chance, and this squirrel has been munching since 9--with short breaks. My cat is hissing at him and batting at the window to no avail. I have shaken a newspaper at it and tapped the window. I'm obsessed! How much do squirrels need to eat? Will it hurt the cardinals? I want the squirrel to eat too, but he needs to learn to share.<br /><br />I think squirrels are kind of like me. Sometimes I eat and eat and eat until it is completely gone when I see free food because I'm not sure when I will be eating again.<br /><br />This squirrel is about to finish off an entire bid feeder full of seed. Amazing. Or is it?

I told you this would be a distraction. I am trying to memorize every detail of employment discrimination. I don't know why this isn't stressing me out. It could be because I've had too much coffee, or the reality of the bulk of the information hasn't hit me. Maybe it is because I've come across nothing that I don't understand (knock on wood). Or maybe it is the peace of the snow outside, the sound of planes and buses rolling by. I'm not sure.
